We always love good news like that! If you didn't know what to do this weekend, here's an idea! The Arts & Métiers Museum, located in the Paris' 3rd arrondissement, just announced its reopening after being closed for 4 months due to the Covid-19 crisis. And to leave its mark on this great news, the museum (also called CNAM for National Conservatory of Arts & Métiers) offers free access to its collection on the 10th, 11th, and 14th of July.
What can you see at the Arts & Métiers Museum?
First of all, this museum is nothing like you've seen before. It has been set in the Saint Martin-des-Champs church, inside a Renaissance priory, after the French Revolution in 1798. The interior of the church, with its amazing roof moldings, is just worth to see by itself. The collection of the museum is also very rich. With a collection of more than 80K objects and 15K sketches and drawings, this museum is an ode to mankind achievements in terms of scientific discoveries, technical progress and craftsmanship. The collections cover a wide variety of subjects, from scientific & communication instruments to mechanics, transports and energy. There is a subject for every taste!
